Event Information

Our 80th Annual Conference and Design Expo, taking place October 24 – 26 at the Moody Gardens Hotels, Spa and Convention Center, will feature three keynote sessions, over 20 tours and over 100 continuing education sessions, 300 exhibitor booths, and several great parties to choose from. Collect your annual CE credits, mingle with friends and colleagues, and learn about new products and services in the architectural industry — all while experiencing everything Galveston has to offer!

The general registration fee covers all regular continuing education sessions, the three Keynote Sessions, and any free events, as well as the Design Expo and its related activities, including the Brunch with Exhibitors. Registrants may attend all these events. The schedule also includes some sessions and events, including all architectural tours, which must be paid for separately. If you wish to attend one or more of those events but have not yet paid, you can do so at the conference Registration Desk. The Society accepts Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express, checks, and U.S. currency. Please see the cut-off times for ticket purchases listed in the schedule under each event.

The Andersen Coffee Café and charging station is the perfect place to meet up with friends and plan your route through the Design Expo. Complimentary coffee provided ruing the following times:

Contact a member of the Moody Gardens Convention Center security staff or the Texas Society of Architects staff at the Registration Desk if you have left an item in a meeting room or at an event.

The headquarters hotel this year is Moody Gardens (Seven Hope Blvd). You can reach the hotel by dialing 409 741 8484. Our two overflow hotels are the Courtyard Marriott (9550 Seawall Blvd.), which can be reached at 409 497 2850 or the TownePlace Suites (9540 Seawall Blvd.), which can be reached at 409 497 2840.

All refunds must be processed by contacting the Texas Society of Architects at or 512 478 7386. Conference registrants who cancelled their registration on or before September 23 received a refund of any fees paid, minus a 20% administrative fee. Registration, CE session, and tour fees, as well as event tickets, became non-refundable after September 23.

The Texas Society of Architects Annual Conference and Design Expo is open to registered attendees, official guests, and registered exhibitors. Distribution or display of commercial literature is restricted to exhibits and may be distributed by participating exhibitors only. Unauthorized literature and signs are prohibited. Security personnel are authorized to escort any individual from the premises when this policy is not honored. Anyone representing a company not exhibiting who is using the Design Expo to promote goods or services in any manner whatsoever will be subject to reprimand and may be asked to leave the venue.

The Texas Society of Architects will capture photos and video throughout the conference at various sessions, tours, and events. By participating in the conference, attendees grant permission to TxA representatives to take such photographs and video to be used in printed or electronic publications, websites, social media, or other communications without compensation.

The Texas Society of Architects is dedicated to providing a safe, harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of sex, race, color, religion, national origin, age, marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation or identification, family responsibilities, physical or mental disability, political affiliation, or other status protected under law.
